NATERA Organic Toasted Hemp Seeds are whole hemp seeds as opposed to just the hulled hemp heart. A whole hemp seed has a hard outer shell, which is an invaluable source of insoluble fibre and contains several important minerals. While the shell of the seed might seem tough or from first glance, it's actually an essential, not to mention irresistibly crunchy, component of this nutritional jackpot.
Insoluble fibre can be found in the skin of fruits and vegetables and the shells of seeds and nuts. It helps regulate the digestive system and stabilise blood sugar levels to help you feel your best and maintain a healthy weight. With 9g of insoluble fibre, our toasted hemp seeds contain 31% of the recommended dose of fibre for the entire day!
This is the only one of our products that isn't raw. In order to comply with Canadian laws for sterilisation, we lightly toast our organic hemp seeds with infrared heat in our commercial oven. Unfortunately, the heat process does slightly alter the structure of the seed affecting the level of fatty acids and vitamins. However, our organic hemp seeds are still an essential source of fibre and plant-based complete proteins.
Provides almost one-third of your required fibre for the entire day
Great source of potassium, calcium, and iron
Delicious mixed into fudge and similar chocolate desserts or even on their own with a dash of salt as a crunchy afternoon snack

Less than 10g of carbohydrates and naturally very low in sugar
Totally vegetarian and vegan friendly
Absolutely no preservatives, additives, or sweeteners
In order to enjoy your organic whole hemp seeds the way they were meant to taste, you should store them in a dry, cool place in your pantry or cupboard until you're ready to enjoy them. Once you've opened them, make sure to transfer them to the fridge to keep them fresh. Alternatively, if you feel as if you might not need your toasted hemp seeds until a later date, you can keep them in the freezer for a whole calendar year dating from the packaging date.
Whole hemp seeds are simply delicious. Sprinkle some of them onto your salad, mix a few into your salsa or bruchetta, or add them to your soup. A few tablespoons will provide you with more fibre than an entire cup of broccoli and an entire salad combined plus more protein than an entire egg! Packed with fibre, protein, essentially fatty acids and important minerals, NATERA Organic Toasted Hemp Seeds are sure to put an extra spring into you
There are hundreds of uses for NATERA Organic Toasted Hemp Seeds. You can mix them with wheat germ, brown sugar, and pecans and whip together a granola; you can roast them with tomatoes and peppers to make bruschetta; or you can put them in a food processor with other seeds a bit of flour for some crispy, chewy crackers.
All of these would be great choices, but we decided to surprise you with this original, refreshing recipe. The hemp seeds give this salad a warm nutty flavour that perfectly balances the sweetness and juiciness of the pears, and the crunch adds texture and interest to what would otherwise be a plain, unassuming appetizer.
